The Heart for Children
„The Heart for Children“ is a beautiful project helping seriously ill and handicapped children in the Czech Republic. Its financial resources will help to pay their treatment, to get medical facilitation, devices or at least improve their quality of life. The project has been started by the journal Blesk on the17th of March 2008 and is realized by Foundation Life for Children who is running the collection and also by Ringier CZ Ltd. who is the publisher of the journal.
The Paediatric clinic of the 2nd. Medical Faculty Charles’s University in Motol is closely cooperating with this project.
Who is benefiting from this project?
All children who are suffering some form of handicap. Children who have sustained some kind of injury or disease. Children who do not have a family and are desperate to have one.
Donated money will be given to those children who need them and were refused by insurance companies and other institutions.
Who can ask for help?
The parents, members of the family of the child or anyone who is interested in a particular case.

How you can help?
The journal Blesk has invested in this project 500 000 CZk.The support of the children will be much more expensive. You can help by donating any amount of money to the account of Foundation Life for Children 83297339/0800 under variable symbol 1234 or you can help by sending text message DMS ZIVOTDETEM on number 87777. The prize is 30. 00 CZK and we receive 27. 00 CZK.
Once the journal has chosen the story of the child, money will be collected on that selected case.
The rest of the fund will be used for medical devices in Paediatric clinic in Motol.
What the project does not support?
The project is not supporting the alternative therapy or experimental therapy. Also therapy in abroad will not be supported.
